Oscar Mejia

    Oscar Mejia is the president and founder of the National Latino Peace Officers Association-North Los Angeles County Chapter. He has been employed as an Inglewood Police Officer for over 22 years, and currently hold the rank of sergeant. Throughout his 22 year career, Oscar has worked a variety of assignments, which include: The Anti Crime Team, Bicycle detail, street level narcotics and Major narcotics enforcement.


    In 1995, Oscar was deputized as a federal task force agent and travelled around various parts of the country conducting investigations.

    Oscar has also been involved in a variety of community events, which include: National Night Out, "Toys for Tots" toy give aways, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles toy give aways, City of Hope Hospital toy give aways, and a variety of other community events that give back to our communities.


    In 1994, Oscar Mejia received the Medal of Valor for an act of courage while on-duty. Most recently, he graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisor Leadership Institute. Oscar received his A.A. degree from Rio Hondo College, and B.S. degree from CSULB.
